On June 23 2016 SpazioFMG opens a summer exhibition about the Norwegian landscape and architectural projects implemented in the context of the National Tourist Routes programme. The exhibition includes 22 shots by photographer Ken Schluchtmann and original materials from the architects representing the most interesting, top quality constructions. Guests at the opening: Beate Hølmebakk and Per Tamsen of Manthey Kula AS, Jette Hoop of Snøhetta and photographer Ken Schluchtmann.

On June 23, 2016 at 6.30 pm the exhibition Norway. Architecture, Infrastructure, Landscape. With photographs by Ken Schluchtmann opens at SpazioFMG per l’Architettura, the gallery and showroom of the Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti brands. Visitors are taken on a voyage of discovery of the Scandinavian country and the architecture and landscape projects constructed under the government’s National Tourist Routes programme, coordinating construction of quality projects at strategic points on some of the country’s most spectacular tourism itineraries since 1994.

Walkways, viewpoints, parking and dining facilities designed to make natural landscapes of great beauty accessible and usable by all are represented in the shots of German photographer Ken Schluchtmann. These fascinating visions always frame the architectural object within the landscape in which it stands, documenting the effective, profitable synthesis of human work and its natural surroundings.

The exhibition route at SpazioFMG begins with a series of photographic prints on the walls. At the same time, visitors can localise the projects on a large map of Norway on the floor, surrounded by technical materials supplied by the architects (drawings, images, texts), revised by the curators and summed up in short magazines available to the public to read.

Luca Molinari, scientific director and curator of SpazioFMG per l’Architettura with Alessandro Benetti, comments on the opening of the next exhibition, which will run from June 23 through July 22, 2016:?“The Norwegian government’s National Tourist Routes programme is a public initiative of particular interest. The most spectacular sites on the country’s road network are marked by a series of top quality architectural and artistic projects which not only respond to their practical needs as travellers, but add life to the landscape and represent points of contact between architecture and nature.
?
The best of contemporary architecture in Norway is represented by more than 50 architects involved in the project, whose works are represented in all their power and poetry in Ken Schluchtmann’s beautiful images.”
