Cripta Basilica di Loreto
Loreto (An) - Italy - Project: Alessandro Del Bufalo - Renzo Mancini
The project for the restoration of the Santa Casa di Loreto Sanctuary and the various phases of implementation were carried out in line with the most modern preservation criteria.
Particular attention was given to the choice of the flooring materials for the crypts, the reception areas, and the halls of the "Palazzo Apostolico" and the "Palazzo del Collegio Illirico".
The manufactured marble and travertine Perlato di Sicilia and Persiano Rosso showed to be the ideal solution thanks to their high tensile strength and resistance to abrasion and wear, to the action of chemicals, humidity, and frost.
Another decisive feature for the choice of this material was its high skid-resistance, a crucial factor in a place attended by large numbers of disabled visitors.
